Omar Group expand with new production facility in Hull

It’s exciting times for the Omar Group, not only is Omar Park & Leisure Homes in the midst of celebrating their 50th Anniversary year, the group has also expanded production capability with a new facility in Hull.

One of the biggest challenges Omar Group have faced over the past year has been the ability to supply the ever-increasing demand for luxury lodges and park homes from the groups brands, Omar Park & Leisure Homes and Wessex Unique Lodges & Park Homes.

As part of a long-term strategic plan to address this demand, the group created a new production facility in Hull earlier this year and on Friday 15th May, the first two models, an Omar Westfield luxury lodge and an Omar Regency park home left the facility.

Now fully up and running, the Hull production facility is capable of producing up to eight homes a week, that’s around 400 luxury lodges or park homes over the course of a year!

It’s not just good news for company growth though; the production facility has also been fantastic for Hull’s local economy. Production quantities at the facility will build up over the course of the year and it is expected that at least 50 staff will be employed in Hull by the end of the summer, and this is in addition to the 269 that are currently based at the company’s headquarters in Brandon!

Growth plans don’t stop there though, Omar Group is currently out to tender for a 40,000 sq ft extension to their main Brandon facility which should come on-line in 2016. This ambitious expansion plan will enable Omar to double the amount and product it supplies within three years meaning that even more customers can enjoy one of the company’s beautiful park homes or stunning luxury lodges.

Omar Group Chief Executive, Dean Westmoreland commented: “We’ve got a fantastic team here at Omar. Everyone shares in our vision to be the very best and to delight our customers and it’s this care and dedication that has been fundamental to our growth.  It’s exiting times for us here and we look forward to seeing our luxury lodges and park homes at even more locations up and down the country.”

Insuring your Park Home

Safeguard Master Logo CMYK

At Safeguard they have many years’ experience providing insurance for Static and Park homes. They have a friendly and experienced team who understand everything from the detail of discounts available for security fixtures, to all the differing requirements for contents, accidental damage and flooding.

Their experience in the leisure insurance industry began when they started to insure motorhomes over 30 years ago. Since then the business has grown, and their knowledge and expertise now spans insurance for motorhomes, caravans, static caravans and park homes.

Park homes are, by their nature, a non-standard home, so all their mobile park home insurance policies are comprehensive and their staff is trained in the field of specialist park home insurance services.

From lush landscapes to wonderful times with family and friends, there’s nothing better than spending time in your park home. However, being on a site does come with its own common risks, such as storms, falling trees and burst pipes. Safeguard can provide insurance that will help protect it properly.

Getting the correct cover

At Safeguard they include contents insurance as part of their specialist park homes insurance policy – but they always recommend that customers accurately value their possessions and the sum insured of the park home to avoid the risk of underinsurance.

Make sure you include other outdoor areas, as damage can easily occur to structures and items on verandas, outdoor furniture, patios, and storage units such as sheds.

Your park home is probably one of your most significant investments, so you understand the importance of insuring it. Tell Safeguard more about your park home and they’ll give you a quote to protect it. One of their friendly team will be more than happy to help.

Omar wins Park Home of the Year

In the midst of their 50th Anniversary year, things couldn’t get much better for Omar who have just won Park Home of the Year for the second consecutive year at The World of Park & Leisure Homes Show, Stoneleigh, with their all-new concept home, the Anniversary.

Designed in celebration of Omar’s 50th Anniversary, the award winning Anniversary park home, the brainchild of Omar’s Sales Director Peter Berwick, brings a completely new concept in layout and interior design to park home living.

The distinctive exterior benefits from boxed out windows, pale blue cladding detail, a feature front door under a central recessed roof dormer, Juliet balcony to the master bedroom and unique sunroom off the dining area for peace and tranquility.

Inside a clever floor plan allows flexibility with the option to open-up the living space or to have separate rooms. A spacious lounge in soft warm tones flows through into a large kitchen with full array of integrated appliances and dining area; on from there you go through into the light and bright sunroom.

Off the hall there is a fully fitted study and from there you go though into the bedrooms.  The master bedroom with its inspired layout has the king-size bed central to the room, set behind a half height wall concealing convenient dressing area; behind that, ample wardrobe space wraps around the corner of the room. The spacious en-suite includes a bath and large walk in shower.

Peter Berwick commented: “We wanted to create a home to celebrate Omar’s 50th year that provides high style, luxury, practicality and flexibility, but one that is affordable too; that’s quite a tall order! To have won despite being up against some of the most expensive and luxurious homes being produced in the UK today, is a huge achievement and is testimony to the hard work and dedication of the whole team here at Omar.  The Anniversary is not just a show piece designed to impress though, we’ve already got orders in the book; a fantastic result for a home that has been newly launched!”

The 50’ x 22’ Anniversary home displayed at Stoneleigh is now available to view at the Omar Showground in Brandon, Suffolk.

Wyldecrest Parks hits Herefordshire

The company is set to invest in the development and bring new job opportunities to the area

Wyldecrest Parks has just expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of a new mobile home park. We have stepped into Herefordshire with the purchase of Saltmarshe Castle Caravan Park, our first site in the region. And what an Amazing park!!!

“This is a stunning park! Wyldecrest can’t believe that we’ve had the opportunity to find such a gem and are proud to add to our portfolio”, says Wyldecrest Parks’ Chairman Alfie Best.

The brand new Wyldecrest site, located on 67 acres of land, within a peaceful rural setting, is situated approximately 2.5 miles north of the town of Bromyard, in an area renowned for its scenic beauty and ancient towns and cities, including Herefordshire, Worcester and Leominster.

The park itself is laid across elevated and gently sloping south facing land, with many of the caravans enjoying views over the surrounding countryside. The park has been created in the grounds of Saltmarshe Castle, a former country house. Although the Castle itself was demolished many years ago, parts of the outer walls and turrets still remain together with various outbuildings and stables, making this a historic and beautiful park.

With a capacity for over 300 people, the Club Complex, which includes restaurant, lounge bar and a games room amongst other leisure areas, is just one of the unique facilities on this park. The site also offers the opportunity to enjoy outside activities including play area, football pitch and fishing lake.

Already planning ahead

Wyldecrest Parks is already working on the development programme to improve its unique facilities. “We’re looking forward and have already allocated a £1.5 million budget for the park’s upgrade over the next 2 years”, explains Alfie Best, who also adds that the money will be spent with local contractors and the company will look to employ seven people to run the new acquisition. “This park will be a heavenly retreat for people to both live and holiday”, he guarantees.

Why not pay us a visit?! 😀
